About The Crew Lab
The Crew Lab is an event staffing company based at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi. We supply the people who make an event work on the day: the crew who welcome guests, check them in, show them to their seats, build the room, move people between venues and look after the guests who need extra care.
What we do
We build event crews from a network of 1,000+ freelancers. The roles we supply cover most of what happens on an event floor:
Most events need a mix. A conference might need registration staff at the door, ushers in the halls, a setup crew before opening and a VIP host for the keynote speaker. We plan those roles as one crew, with one brief.
How we work
Every booking starts with a conversation about the event. We ask about the venue, the guests, the schedule and the dress code, and about the parts of the day that are likely to be busiest. From there we suggest a crew and adjust it with you.
We match people to roles from our freelancer network. A registration desk needs different people from a backstage corridor, and a gala dinner needs a different manner from a public concert. Before doors open, the crew are briefed on the running order and the floor plan, and they know who to go to with a problem. A Crew Lab team leader then stays on site to supervise and keep the crew where they are needed.
You deal with our own team from first enquiry to final handover, and we book every freelancer directly rather than subcontracting the crew. If the plan changes on the day, you tell the team leader and the crew adjusts.

A message from our chairwoman
Behind every successful event are people who take pride in their work. My vision for The Crew Lab is to bring that commitment to every team we provide, from the first guest welcome to the final task behind the scenes.
Where we work
Our office is at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi. In the capital, events take place at ADNEC and on Yas Island and Saadiyat. Hotels along the Abu Dhabi Corniche host dinners and conferences too. We also staff events in Al Ain.
In Dubai, the large exhibition venues are Dubai World Trade Centre and Expo City Dubai, and hotel events gather around Downtown Dubai and DIFC. We cover Sharjah and the northern emirates as well, and can plan one crew for programmes that move between cities.
